Today I’m launching an AI tool I built to let anyone imagine, create, and visualize insanely detailed worlds in a matter of minutes. Its core purpose is to help storytellers of all kinds explore and develop ideas quickly, by giving them an interactive AI agent that’s both a creative writer and a sketch artist for rapid prototyping. If you’re a world builder for creative fiction of any kind, this app is for you.
That’s the official use case, but I think the true power of this build is that it lets anyone become a powerful creator. If you’ve ever dreamed of a world where physics work differently, or a city that’s built to your specifications, now you can give the World Builder Assistant some general guidance, and from there it will help you expand your ideas anywhere you want to take them.
This is the tool I use when I’m providing creative editing services for writers, so it’s not available to the general public. However, I do sell it under the Talemaiker brand, which you’ll also find on that page.
You can give it as little as a single phrase to start (for instance: “a city where the floor is lava”), and it will take that concept and run with it, generating paragraphs of detailed descriptions, including unique scenes from within that city, the design of specialty buildings, characters, and occupations that may exist there, and offering to create images of anything of interest to you . . . and then you can further explore by asking it about any person or object you see within those images.
This thing is so much fun to use, I have to stop myself from building and exploring worlds because I’ll run up against the usage cap for actual work I have to do.
Since this agent is a creative writer, I asked it to write up a description of itself for this post below. After the description I’ll include a few more comments and screenshots of my own for some extra detail.

All of the examples I’m providing in this post are from my first actual user test of the beta build – all from just one conversation. This conversation created nearly over 30 pages of text and dozens of images as I explored the city I was creating with the agent. I’ve run many more tests since, and it always manages to give me fascinating results. Try to break it with a crazy scenario and see what it does!
In the demo I asked for a world where time runs more slowly at altitude, so people try to cluster cities on the tops of mountains, and within the cities build everything vertically to maximize time. As a result, time monitoring and control functions were built into a lot of the city scenes. Here’s a city engineer’s office:
A vertical transport operator:
A sky market vendor’s shop:
The time dilation central control panel:
You can ask the tool about anything you see, and it’ll give you a detailed backstory:
Want to see something even more wild? Check this out – I ask it to follow him from here to the sky vendor (and then of course you can visualize any of these scenes you want – in my conversation I asked it to give me a comic panel illustration of the trip, and it did):
I followed him home and looked at the rooms of his house, including the living room and basement workshop:
I ended up liking the guy and his friend, the sky market vendor, so I asked the app to create him as the main character in a video game, and give me ideas for the major acts and some side quests:
I followed one of the side quests to an architectural marvel – a skyscraper built to harness the kinetic energy of water:
I found the side quest villain’s secret lab:
I asked the agent for more detail on the city demographics and how much variation there is in the time dilations by altitude, and then I prompted it to create a story event based on an interaction between a Lower City resident and an Upper City resident:
I wanted detailed character sketches of different residents – it can do that too:
Anyway, you get the idea. This tool lets you create a world from scratch and explore it in full detail, completely open ended, anywhere you want to go, anything you want to do. If you’re an author and want to see it in action, you can book a session with me to explore your world!
