Everything touching Kestrel Lane LLC

One entity, pulled out of six role folders, the office spine and four machines onto one page · rendered Tuesday, July 21, 2026
Kestrel Lane owes $6,000,000 on August 11th, and the notice names Tri-Valley ••••2258 as the account it comes out of. That account's most recent statement closed at $204,434.60. It also carries every declarations-backed insurance policy in this office — all three, every one renewing inside the next sixty days — and it appears in no board or council minutes anywhere in the corpus.

The arithmetic nobody was doing

Two numbers that live in two different people's folders, put next to each other. Neither figure is this machine's — both are quoted, and both are linked.

Opened $142,000.00 — the statement, the most recent one on file for this account
This is not a claim that the call can't be funded — money moves between accounts, and the office holds $180,000,000 of real estate in this entity. It is the observation that the only two figures the corpus actually states about this account and this call sit in Steven's folder and Robert's, six weeks apart, and nothing before this page had put them on the same line.

Tax — and it sits on both sides of the K-1 ledger

The interesting part of this entity: it issued a K-1 that has arrived, and it is owed one that hasn't. Reading only one side is the classic miss.

A name trap, recorded rather than resolved. The arriving K-1's issuing partnership is also called "Kestrel Lane LLC," and the K-1 Roll Call's tracker states plainly that the partnership and the office entity are distinct. This page keeps them apart for the same reason: merging two things because they share a name is how a roll-up starts lying. The chase for the missing one is Grace Kim's, due 2026-07-31.

No custodian statement in this office carries that $54,000,000. The spine's own ANCHORS.md §1 says so outright: Kestrel Lane holds this fund and has no custody statement in the corpus, so the NAV lives only in the notice layer — the capital call and the Q3 investment-committee memo, which agree exactly. The account register (accounts.md) now says the same thing; the two spine files agree (see the absence view, row 8).

Insurance — every declarations-backed policy in this office is this entity's

All three, and all three renew inside the next sixty days. Premiums total $340,650. Said precisely on purpose: a fourth policy — an Umbrella / Excess Liability renewing 2026-09-15, owned by Wrenfield Holdings LLC — is carried on the office calendar and directed for review by board resolution, but has no declarations page anywhere, so it is on no schedule and in no machine (the absence view leads with it).

A location the spine doesn't mention. The entity's spine note reads "properties in CT and MT," but three pieces appraised at $10,410,000 sit at a New York pied-à-terre, and no property policy in this office covers a New York address. The fine-art floater is written "worldwide, while at named residences and in transit," so the art itself is inside a policy — the gap is between the entity's stated footprint and where its assets actually are, and it takes both files to see it.

One account, and it's an operating checking account. Kestrel Lane has no rows at all on the office's master holdings sheet (master-holdings.csv) — none of its $180,000,000 sits on the marketable book, which is consistent with an entity that holds real estate and one real-estate fund. Stated in full so the empty result reads as a checked fact rather than a gap.

Governance

Kestrel Lane LLC appears in no board or council minutes anywhere in this office. Checked across all three minute sets in Diane's folder — the Wrenfield Holdings Q2 board, the Sturgis Valley Cider annual, and the Foundation grant cycle — and the 2026-07-16 family council. The council did discuss this entity's fine-art policy renewal; the entity itself is never named.
This is the section that could only ever come from a cross-read: an absence in the governance record has no file to appear in, so no folder and no single machine can surface it. It is reported, not characterised — a $180,000,000 entity may be overseen perfectly well without being named in minutes. The fact is simply that, in this corpus, it isn't.
Rendered from roll-up.md §2, which carries every figure on this page with its source path. Same roll-up, other cuts: what the office owes in the next 60 days · what's supposed to be here and isn't. The dossier shape is generic — steps/03-build-entity-dossier.md takes any entity name from the spine; this is the first one cut.
