Packing Profile
This is the heart of the tool. Every list is tailored to what's below. Edit this file to teach the
tool β change a line and every future list changes with it. No code, just plain text.
Filled 2026-07-09 by Delamain from the OP + sensible defaults, per Nate's "set it up for my life, no
questions." Lines grounded in the OP are stated as fact; pure guesses are flagged [confirm β best guess]
so Nate can fix them in a minute when something's off. No [confirm β dummy] flags remain β every line is
a real starting point, not a placeholder.
Home base (two homes)
- Two home bases: Milwaukee, WI and Los Angeles, CA β splits time roughly 50/50 and flies between them
constantly. The routine trip is the Milwaukee β LA flight.
- Both are U.S. domestic β no plug adapters ever needed for the commute or any domestic trip. Adapters
only matter on international.
Bag style
- Carry-on only β a carry-on roller + a personal-item backpack; avoids checking a bag whenever possible.

Temperature
- Milwaukee native (handles real winter); LA is light-layers country. For the commute: pack for the
destination's season, not a single bias β a Milwaukee January needs a real coat; LA is a light jacket
nearly year-round.
- Personal hot/cold bias unknown β treated as neutral.

Always-brings (go on EVERY trip β the non-negotiables)
- Phone + charging cable + wall plug
- Laptop + charger (the whole practice runs from wherever he lands)
- Noise-cancelling earbuds (works by voice β calls on the road)
- Portable battery pack
- Reusable water bottle (empty through security)
Always-forgets (the kick-yourself items β flag these LOUD on every list)
- Phone charging cable

- Sunglasses

- Lip balm / chapstick

Toiletries
- Keeps a pre-packed TSA-compliant travel toiletry kit β grab it as one item, don't itemize from scratch.

Regular trip types (patterns the tool should recognize)
- Milwaukee β LA commute (the constant one β ~2-hr time shift, ~4-hr flight, carry-on, work-from-landing)
- Client on-sites (client discovery trips β laptop, smart-casual, business cards) β work trip
- AI/tech conferences (e.g. the LA AI Dev Summit β laptop, one smart outfit, networking) β work trip
- Visiting family (casual, low-key)
Standing notes
- Bias toward merino/quick-dry fabrics so fewer items re-wear across the commute.
[confirm β best guess]
- Does laundry on trips longer than ~6 days rather than packing more.

Work travel kit β lives in your OP (not here)
- The tools-of-the-trade Nate takes on every work trip live in his OP β
engine\OP\OP.md at the world
root, section "Work travel kit" β and the tool pulls them from there on work trips. Edit them in the OP,
not here, so there's one source of truth and the two never drift apart. (Added to the OP on install.)
This is a plain text file in Nate's world, shown here as a page. In the real app you'd
just talk β "pack me for a 4-night trip" β and the agent reads and updates files like this one for you.
