rendered 2026-07-12 — 4 waiting

Things you captured out in the world, waiting to be filed. Your phone never talks to Forge — it saves into a folder you already own, and the sweep files every item where it belongs while you watch.

Relay: C:\Users\sam\OneDrive\Forge Inbox\
  • 🎙note-to-self-0714.m4a⏳ waits for transcription
added 2026-07-12 — audio stays in the box until it can be listened to honestly, never guessed at
  • 📷card-hendricks-plumbing.jpg
    added 2026-07-12 — a photo of a business card
  • 📄fence-gate-idea.txt
added 2026-07-11 — typed on the phone, half a thought
  • 👤rosa-alvarez.vcf
added 2026-07-11 — a contact shared from the phone
Sweep them in: tap the 📥 Inbox chip up top, type /inbox, or just say sweep my inbox. Each item gets read, filed where it belongs, and moved out of the box — nothing is ever deleted.
💡 While these are being swept in, you can go do other things — the sweep keeps running in this tab even if you navigate away.

not set up yet — one quick setup, and Forge does most of it

This is what the page says before it's wired up — the state a new install lands on.

What the Inbox is

Your Inbox is how things you capture out in the world — a voice memo, a photo of a business card, a screenshot, a stray thought typed on your phone — get into your Forge. Your phone never talks to Forge: it saves into a folder you already own in your own cloud drive, and when you sit down here, the box gets swept — every item read and filed where it belongs.

Easiest — OneDrive (it's already on this Windows computer): say "set up my inbox" in the chat, and Forge does the computer side for you — creates a private Forge Inbox folder in your OneDrive, drops a hello note in it (an empty folder won't show up on your phone), and wires it in. Your only piece: the OneDrive app on your phone, signed into the same account.

Rather use Google Drive or Dropbox? Say so — you'll set it up together. Same shape, one extra step (that drive's desktop app has to sync a folder to this computer).

After that it's just: phone → share → Forge Inbox. This page shows what's waiting, the 📥 Inbox chip up top counts it, and "sweep my inbox" files everything in.
