A classic Victorian adventure omnibus — three of Haggard's lost-world tales collected in one volume.
King Solomon's Mines is an 1885 novel by the English Victorian adventure writer H. Rider Haggard. It tells of an expedition through an unexplored region of Africa by a group of adventurers led by Allan Quatermain, searching for the missing brother of one of the party. It is one of the first English adventure novels set in Africa and is considered the genesis of the "lost world" literary genre — the first of fourteen novels featuring Quatermain. This omnibus collects it alongside She (1887) and Allan Quatermain (1887).
King Solomon's Mines first published 1885 by Cassell and Company; She and Allan Quatermain both 1887. This collected volume gathers all three ("Complete and Unabridged").
