I live in Los Angeles and drive to work in Santa Monica. In no traffic, the commute takes 30 minutes. Depending on when I leave, however, it can take up to 2 hours. That’s each way, friends. Average time is around 1 hour 15 minutes each direction, which means I spend nearly 3 hours in the car every day.
You know how if you look on GPS maps with traffic overlay, it shows your route in green, yellow or red, depending on the traffic volume? I’ve taken the liberty of illustrating the L.A. traffic grid during the daily drive. It’s a whole lotta not good.
Since the “Back to Business” series is going to include a lot of discussion about L.A. traffic, I decided to just do the entire series while actually stuck in traffic. Enjoy. 🙂
Also note the “Rapid Blue” bus. You don’t even wanna know how long it would get to work if I took that thing.
Talk to y’all tomorrow…
