We all have that one shining moment in our personal highlight reel. Here’s mine . . . what’s yours?

      MAYBE INVEST IN A PAIR

Snort. I didn’t mean to yell.

I’m not super sporty (You’re surprised, I know…), so mine was probably a cheer moment (I know). Either the time I first executed the perfect toe touch jump OR perfectly basket tossing one of my squad mates. I know. I know.
        I’m not very athletic.

Pretty cool, Nate. You guys deserve those tickets.
I never considered myself athletic, but I suppose I was.  I used to do gymnastics, diving, dance, track and (ahem) cheerleading.  I’ve done crazy/brave things, and still do, (I still climb trees and things), but I guess I am most proud of my track and field prowess when I was in elementary school.  I used to hurdle the high jump when everyone else was jumping back first.  (Have a picture of that, too. Below. Might be hard to see. Feel free to laugh. I do.)  I took several 1st place ribbons in the dash and hurdles year after year.   I even beat several boys.  (My poor mother, I wasn’t the most feminine thing.)The close second would be the fact that I scored a 93 on my last pt test for the Air Force.  Enduring every manner of training the Department of Defense feels fit to throw at me feels pretty good. I’ll admit to that.

You did cheerleading too? One of these things doesn’t belong… ;)

Is the 93 out of 100 for the DOD stuff?

Seems like you have more of a lifetime of proud moments (or high standards, maybe).

Well…. being the kid in the wheelchair most of my life… I wasn’t all that athletic. ;) But I was the manager of the girls basketball team when I was in 8th grade and we were the champions that year which was super exciting. We were undefeated all season and won the conference tournament too. Then when I was in high school and college everyone was impressed with my crazy awesome wheelchair racing skills – especially when I was going downhill. haha

So why have you been in the wheelchair most of your life? Awesome about the undefeated season!

Dude, I’d be scared to go downhill in a wheelchair. Eesh.
